Materiales: tijeras, pegamento y papel.
Saludos

Hello girls and boys,
One of the traditions of the Olympic Games is the lighting of the cauldron that gives rise to the beginning of the games. The moment it lights up is very exciting, I recommend that you surf in the web and see how the cauldron lit up in Barcelona'92. But, do you know what happens before all this? And why do they use fire?
Well, in the next activity you can find the solutions. I hope you like it and I wish you a good weekend.
Cheers!!

Hello teens!
The time has come to talk about the Olympics in Spain. These were in Barcelona in 1992, at the same time in Seville was the Universal Exposition, known worldwide as Expo'92.
Cobi was the mascot of the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games, created by the Spanish designer Javier Mariscal. Officially presented on March 15, 1988, it represents a cubist-style dog, inspired by the breed of the Catalan shepherd. Its name is based on the initials of the Organizing Committee of the Barcelona Olympics (COOB).
Although it was initially coldly received, its popularity grew as the Olympic Games approached, until it became one of the most accepted pets in the history of the event. The fame she had achieved led to the creation of a cartoon series, The Cobi Troupe, in which she shared the limelight with her friend Petra, a stylized girl with no arms, who in turn was the mascot of the 1992 Paralympic Games.

Hi teenagers!
I am here again with a new couple of mascots and another worksheet about Sports. Today we are going to travel to London 2012Wenlock and Mandeville are the official mascots of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Designed by the company Iris Design. According to their author, Michael Morpurgo, they were born from the last drops of steel left over from the construction of the last support beam of the Olympic Stadium in a foundry in Bolton.
Wenlock, his name is inspired by Much Wenlock in Shropshire, England, where the Wenlock Olimpyan Society hosted the first Olympics in 1858, inspiring the modern Olympics. Wenlock has 5 friendship bracelets on his wrist. Each one is the color of each of the Olympic rings. He has three points on his head that represent the 3 places on the podium. The pattern on his body with the games logo symbolizes the entire world heading to London in 2012. The shape on his forehead represents the shape of the roof of the Olympic stadium.
Mandeville, its name comes from the Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England that sponsored the Stoke Mandeville Games, which were inspiration for the Paralympic Games. Mandeville wears a pink stopwatch on his wrist, which can be read 0:20:12. Its head, similar to a helmet with three points, in blue, red and green, represents the Paralympic symbol.

Hello teens!
Today, I  present to you the Olympics mascots of Río 2016. Vinicius and Tom are the names of the mascots of the Olympic and the Paralympic games in Río de Janeiro 2016 in Brazil, representing the fauna and flora respectively. Vinicius is an athletic animal that represents the Brazilian fauna, combining 'the agility of cats, the rocking of monkeys and the gracefulness of birds' and whose arms and legs can be stretched without limits. Tom is the Paralympic mascot and represents the national flora. His powers connected to those of nature allow him to overcome any obstacle. He can also remove any object from his hair, similar to a rain forest.
They bring you some worksheets so that you can learn the different sports that you can find in the Olympics.
      Cheer up!
